Fun ways to fundraise and or at least save money!

I don’t think I ever make a TON of money fundraising for my FCCLA group. BUT I do like to have fun in all things I do! One of the simplest ways I earn a little extra cash for FCCLA is selling Kool-Aid during lab days in the FACS kitchen. This is an easy way for kids to have something sugary and sweet while they eat and I can raise some small funds. My favorite part is when students forget to read the recipe on the package and forget the sugar…haha maybe I shouldn't laugh at that….

This is the Kool-aid jar a student made for me!

Another project we do are cookie jars! We design the labels and recipes and have a fun day building the jars. The supplies we use:
Mason jars - be sure to clean and sterilize
Fabric - we cut these into circles to cover the lids
Ribbon - we use this to tie the fabric on the lids
Labels and tape - we used word to make these - very easy!
Pinterest - lots of ideas and recipes for your jars
love - I use this in everything I do
Dry ingredients - based on the recipes you choose

We usually get $5-10 per jar but I think what the students get out of making them is really the best part!

Now when it comes to saving money ill be the first to admit I am no expert! But I am creative. I think all teachers will agree that we spend way to much money on extra writing utensils - no matter what your policy is kids need something to write with! My solution cracks me up - I call them "utensils." Basically I used electrical tape to attach actual eating utensils to writing utensils! I laugh every time I see one bobbing around above a students paper!
